The nightly bedtime reading is one of my favorite parts of our entire day. We both calm down and spend a magical moment together.
Reading is something we adults stop easily when our children grow older and start to read themselves. But we can change and start telling stories from our memories.
Storytelling is something we have done for centuries and not only for our kids. Let’s keep it going.
Storytelling predates writing. The earliest forms of storytelling were usually oral combined with gestures and expressions.
Ps. When there are no books available or you have read them all, you can tell stories from your past or share a story about your grandparent’s childhood. Those are the most memorable stories that your kid will remember long after he or she has grown up. Maybe one day your kid is a writer and puts all your great stories to paper for somebody else to read ❤️ Wouldn’t that be magnificent?
