With only three days to the wedding, Detective Superintendent Roy Grace – a man haunted by the shadow of his own missing wife – is contacted by Michael’s beautiful, distraught fiancée, Ashley Harper.

Dead Simple is the stunning first novel in the number one bestselling Roy Grace series from award-winning author, Peter James. And stunning it seriously is!! Peter James, you just made me a fan!💖

The beginning totally hooked me with its dark humor. From there on the story kept me on edge, obsessively pondering what would happen next. I would love to reveal and praise all those didn’t-see-that-coming -moments but I don’t want spoil the fun for those who have not yet read it. For me, there was two major jaw dropping twists and several what-the-heck -turns. So if you’re looking for a great whodunnit/whydunnit mystery novel then this is you cup of tea!

Dead simple earns four stars easily. Only thing I was left yearning was the truth about what really happened to Roy Grace’s missing wife. I hope it will be revealed later on in the series.

WARNING! If you suffer from claustrophobia or fear of being buried alive, then this book might give you nightmares ☠️

p.s. I still want to smack the crap out of one of the characters. I mean seriously!! My palms are tingling 😂 Can you guess who it is?
